"I create colour-infused impressionist and expressive paintings. I love working with colour because it delights and energizes me. As I seek to bathe my works in colour, my aim is not only to depict the colours I see but also those I feel.
"For me, the chance to create my own vision and interpretation of the world and people around me is a privilege and a joy."
Jacqueline was born in London, England, but has lived in the United States for the last 22 years. She lives in California but has also lived in Hawaii and Arizona.
Jacqueline became a practising artist after years of assimilating the works of the world's greatest artists in the museums of London and Europe. Starting with photography, she discovered that she had a natural eye for balance and composition. From there she progressed to drawing and painting. Originally self-taught, she has since studied under Alan Nowell, John Eagle, Steve Kell, Tom Brown and Melinda Cootsona.
Jacqueline paints in oils in a loose style influenced by Post-Impressionist artists and contemporary figurative and landscape painters. Her work is inspired by the light and colour of southern California, Provence, Polynesia, by movement, and the world of her imagination.
Jacqueline's work is found in private collections in both the U.S. and Europe.
